A few months ago, I started doing a little transcription work for a company called TranscribeMe, which I found out about through a post on Real Ways to Earn Money Online. Though the workload is not very consistent at the moment, this site is a great site for people who are just breaking into transcription, because the audio files are short.
This post will provide more information on TranscribeMe. When I first joined TranscribeMe, the audio files were around 2 minutes in length, and there was no way to download them into a program lke ExpressScribe unless you downloaded a web downloader program, which I did, because it made transcribing the audios much easier in the beginning. In addition, transcribers can also post any questions or concerns they have and the TranscribeMe staff will address them.
Join Vindale Research Now. Payday is every Tuesday for work completed the previous Monday through Sunday. All you have to do is go here and fill out a short form with some basic information such as your name, email address, and the country you live in.

Silvia, that is absolutely not true! You need to inquire about your payments, MULTIPLE times in order to get paid. That was what happened with my first payment. TM is definitely not a scam, but they have closed registration.

They said there was nothing wrong then either and then all of a sudden it was okay. It was teaching about multiple speakers and the directions on the side asked for full verbatim with all the ums and ahs but then when it showed the transcription to compare to, they had done clean verbatim.

The training and exam portion take HOURS to complete and it gives you no indication how far along you are.
